Meet Jesus

Samuel P. Goodman was born in St. Michael, Bridgetown, Barbados. He immigrated to Canada in August 1976 and married Noelene Martin on July 1, 1977. After working in the computer servicing industry for almost twenty years and reaching the senior management level, Pastor Sam felt the call to full-time Christian ministry. His preparation for ministry began at a very early stage in his life with his dad as a pastor and national church leader. He worked in music ministry, as a youth leader and in various church administrative positions.
After serving for many years on the Board of Directors of a large ministry in Toronto, in 1995 Pastor Sam was offered his first full time ministry assignment as a Church Administrator in Phoenix City, Alabama. He served there for five years and then returned to Canada. Soon after his return, he was offered the position of Home Cell and Care Pastor at The Life Centre Christian Fellowship in Ottawa under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Barry Boucher.
It was during this time that Pastor Sam began to feel led by the Holy Spirit to plant a church. With his pastorís blessing, Pastor Sam started Covenant Word Christian Fellowship, formerly known as People of the Word Faith Ministries in Cambridge, Ontario. The ministry started in a home with three families in January 2004. The church experienced increase in every facet of its ministry and day-by-day Godís will for this assignment was confirmed at every turn.
In addition to serving as Pastor and teacher to the people of this ministry, Pastor Sam serves on the Executive of the Riverís Alive Cambridge Ministerial Fellowship.
Pastor Sam has completed two years of ministry training with Supernatural Ministries Training Institute under the leadership of Dr. Mark T. Barclay. He has also completed three years of further training at Ottawa School of the Bible. In the next few years, Pastor Sam plans on pursuing his Masterís Degree with Wagner Leadership Institute, headquartered in Red Deer, Alberta. Pastor Sam is ordained with Open Bible Faith Fellowship.
Pastor Sam is married to his beautiful wife of over 30 years, Noelene, and they reside in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. They have two lovely daughters, Crystal-Gayle and Ashley.

Noelene C. Martin was born in San Juan, Trinidad & Tobago. She immigrated to Canada in August 1973 and married Samuel Goodman on July 1, 1977. Pastor Noelene grew up in the church and as a result, had the opportunity to serve in different aspects of ministry. She was very involved with youth and music ministry, which involved singing with various groups.

As the call to full time ministry changed her husbandís life, Pastor Noelene also continued to grow. She became a cell group leader, Executive School Administrator, and an elementary school teacher. She also served on a School Board of Administration. Her missions work included coordinating and participating in missions trips to many different countries.

Pastor Noelene was involved in Womenís Aglow in a leadership capacity and this role was the foundation for her burning desire to minister to women from every spectrum of the globe. Pastor Noelene is an anointed and gifted teacher of the Word, and serves with her husband, Pastor Sam, as Co-Pastor of Covenant Word Christian Fellowship.

Pastor Noelene is a graduate of Ottawa School of the Bible and is ordained with Open Bible Faith Fellowship. Currently, she lives in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada with her husband Samuel Goodman and they have two lovely daughters, Crystal-Gayle and Ashley.
